Seaton Daly is a product, privacy, and technology counsel with deep experience advising organizations on research, data governance, AI‑enabled products, and enterprise risk. He provides practical, business‑focused guidance to researchers, data scientists, engineers, and executive teams, helping them design responsible research frameworks, implement compliant data practices, and build scalable policies and governance structures. With experience across hundreds of matters for a wide range of clients, he is known for delivering clear, actionable solutions in fast‑moving environments.

Seaton’s broader law practice focuses on representing privately held companies, nonprofits, startups, and early‑stage ventures. He advises leadership teams on entity formation, equity financing, mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, and cybersecurity and data‑privacy compliance. His work often includes developing strategies to protect mission‑critical information, trade secrets, and proprietary research — ensuring organizations can innovate while mitigating operational and regulatory risk.

Seaton regularly presents to business, industry, and trade groups on topics including data privacy, cybersecurity, cloud computing, e‑discovery, online behavioral advertising, social‑media ethics, and data‑governance best practices. He has served in leadership roles within the Washington Technology Industry Association’s security community, and he brings both legal and technical insight to his approach.

Before entering legal practice, Seaton helped establish multiple startups in the information‑protection industry, giving him a strong foundation in technology, product development, and the realities faced by growing companies.

Committed to service beyond his legal work, Seaton coaches varsity high school football and served on the board of director's for several nonprofits including, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting underserved communities and providing mentoring for high‑risk youth.

Licensed in Washington and Utah, Seaton combines cross‑disciplinary legal expertise, operational understanding, and a practical mindset to help organizations build responsibly, grow confidently, and navigate complex risk with clarity.
